Does Solar Instinct 2X have the same shut-down problems as the original Solar Instinct?

I've had a Instinct Solar for many years now, and needed to replace twice due to the watch turning off, even though it was more than 50% charged. It's now doing it again. I really like the watch, and am considering getting the Instinct 2X. Does anyone know if Garmin has fixed the problem in this version? I'm also considering the Forerunner 165. Any of the same issues for this watch?

using a 2X Solar for about 9 months with latest FW and never had the watch turning off by itself, the 2X has other bugs but nothing so major as you described from the Instinct Solar
