Altitude and temperature problem

My altimeter keeps showing i am at 20,000m elevation. During hike activity ascent is 0, temperature is 313 degree Celsius.

I had tried cleaning the ports behind with soap water, recalibrate, hard reset but still does not work. My barometer test result shows invalid.

Apparently it looks like a common issue. Is there no other ways but to send back to garmin for repair?

How much would it cost to repair since my warranty had ended?

  • Hello, I have the same issue with an altitude of 10500m and 298 deg Celsius.
    Have you round a solution?

    Thank you

  • Hello,

I'm sorry to hear you are having this issue. If you are having trouble with the altimeter, there are a few steps I would recommend trying initially:

    1. Ensure the watch is powered off.
      • You may need to hold CONTROLfor up to 30 seconds to turn the watch off.
    2. Press and hold SET and GPS.
    3. Press CONTROL to power the watch on while holding these two buttons.
    4. After the first beep release GPS.
    5. After the second beep release the remaining button.

If this continues, I would recommend contacting Garmin Product Support.
