Instinct constantly turns off even after doing a reset & with more than 10 days battery left, is this just a common fault that Garmin are going to ignore or is there an actual fix available?

My instinct solar constantly turns off, I've done the reset, I have more than 10 days of battery life left, it appears this is a common fault with the instinct solar, are Garmin going to actually fix the issue or are they just hoping that owners go away & purchase a different brand?

I'm one of the many with crashing problems...I wouldn't even be mad having to deal with it for the past 2 months if Garmin just admitted it's an issue and they will be working on a fix...but they just outright dismiss the issue and the coincidence that it's happening to so many people within the same time frame...the time frame when they released new software.

  •   So I've now done all the so called 'fixes', did a reset, turned off vibration, makes absolutely no difference, so in the bin it will go, as it's won't preform the most basic of tasks, ie tell time.

So the only way these big corporations  (apple, samsung, fisher paykel, lg, garmin, etc) learn that customers aren't just an inconvenience & deserve to be treated fairly is for consumers to boycott their products.

I no longer use apple, samsung, fp, lg products, I've ordered a new smart watch from amazon for a third of the price I paid for the solar instinct, when my 3 bicycle computer cease to function (2 are getting close to their usable date), I'll be replacing them with non-garmin products.

Everyone needs to hit these corporations where it hurts, their sales,  when their sales take a major hit & people start refusing to purchase their products, then maybe they will take customer support seriously.

Don't like the way they treat you, then don't purchase their products, it's called the power of the consumer dollar.

  • I am sorry you have an issue. If you haven't already, please reach out to Outdoor Product Support in your region.

  • You cannot contact customer support here in Australia, it will not let you message/email them, the watch is 6 days over 12 months old, so I guess the next thing will be sorry, out of warranty, poor fool anyone who buys a garmin product, I definitely will never purchase another product.
