My Instinct Solar running firmware v17.50 can't seem to get DEM available for Altimeter or Barometer calibration.
I have confirmed that the watch is connected to my phone, that Garmin Connect is connected to the watch and that all rights on the phone are set to allowed.
My location is in Europe, specifically in The Netherlands.
My process is;
- Long press menu button
- Settings
- Sensors and accessories
- Altimeter
- Calibrate
- Using DEM
The watch finds GPS but then can't seem to get the DEM data from the phone. The watch eventually reports DEM data is not available.
Considering that there is a bug with the altimeter at the moment [1], this is very inconvenient.
