Instinct solar keeps switching off when pausing an activity or trying to restart/save it

I've gone up snowdon mountain so I started a hike activity. 1/2 way up I paused it to have food and a drink.when trying to restart it the watch switched off. Held the ctrl button and the set, the watch came back on but crashed again on resume. After about 20mins it did resume. I'm now trying to save it and it crashes every time you try to select save.

  • Connect it by a cable to a computer, sync it with Garmin Express, delete the files in folder //Garmin/Activity/, do the soft reset (press the Light button for ~20s until it shuts down, and then restart), and then see whether it works. If not, try the master reset to factory defaults. If still broken, contact the Support.

  • Hi there,  I've deleted the files in activities, soft reset. It started to record a walk, when I stopped the activity, tried to save it and it said failed to save. Tried the next activity and it crashed as soon I pressed start. Tried factory reset. Re-synced watch with app. Pressed start on activity and crashed again. Anything else I can try?

Besides contacting the Suport, there is not much you can do. Maximally, you could try reinstalling the firmware, to see whether something changes. Search a beta installation package containing also the sensor hub firmware, and install both the main firmware & the sensor hub too.
