Not receiving Gizmohub alerts on Watch

I know it's many months later, but I just got my son a Gizmo Watch and I'm having the same problem. Did you ever figure out how to fix it?

No, sorry. I wish.

I figured out a workaround using the app Tasker, if you have an Android. I set it up so that when I get a GizmoHub notification, Tasker copies the info and sends a Tasker notification with the same info. The Tasker notifications will actually show up on my watch.

This sounds much more complicated than it is all typed out, but it's really not too bad.

On the Profiles tab, click the + in the lower right, then select Create on the pop up.

Select Event as the trigger, then search for and select Notification.

Click on Owner Application, then select GizmoHub.

Navigating within the app is a bit weird. In general, you use the left pointing arrow in the upper left corner to accept your selection and go back to the previous screen. So, after you selected GizmoHub, it's two left arrows to bring you back to the Profiles page.

Select New Task, and give it a name.

Click the + in the lower right, then search for and select Notify.

In Title enter %evtprm2, in Text enter %evtprm3. This is what takes the title and text of the GizmoHub notification and feeds it into the Tasker notification. You can also select what icon you want displayed on your phone from this screen.

Click the left pointing arrow to close out of the Task.

Click the check mark in the upper right to save all your changes.

That's it! Now you can enjoy knowing what's going on with your kid as soon as it happens.

Thank you! Does this allow for you to see location updates as well as when messages or calls are being made/sent?

I can't remember if I've gotten a location update since I set it up, but it should repeat every notification from the app, including the location ones.

So I set it up per your awesome instructions and tested it out. I got notifications for both messages and location! Thanks again!!

Nice, I'm glad it helped. We moved on from the Gizmo a while ago because it became nearly impossible to get it to take a charge. I hope you have better luck than we did!
