BUG REPORT: Changing power mode during any activity and then pressing the back button removes the power mode choice just made. V16 software (latest stable) and v16.43
I don't usually use GPS for walking so I set a default power mode for this activity which has no GPS (no other changes). If I wish to use GPS when walking I hold the menu button and change to the normal power mode which has GPS. GPS lock acquired and all is tracking fine. I press the back button to check the current time, step count, notifications etc and then when you go back to the activity that is in progress it has reverted to GPS off. This is 100% repeatable no matter the activity used.
If this is by design it's probably the most stupid decision I've seen on a product so I assume, and hopefully rightly this is a bug?
Could Garmin please confirm before I return this thing, this and the notification issues drives me mad (latest messages in chats are not shown). I can live with the body battery issues and poor sleep tracking as I don't care much about them.
I have performed a master reset and installing v16.43, same issue sadly.
The reason I track with no GPS is I usually don't need GPS for my every day walks. The battery life is increased to 120hrs vs 20 something hours for GPS use.
