Instinct Solar - 16.43 Public Beta

Hello Instinct Solar customers,

Please read the 'notes' and 'installation instructions' in the 'Updates and Downloads' page found in the link below. We look forward to your feedback!

Note: Please allow for the updates to propagate across all servers. There is no need to post that the link does not work. It will after a bit of patience.

16.43 Change Log Notes:

  • Made improvements to altimeter calibration.
  • Fixed display of Strength activities in Last Sport widget.
  • Fixed solar data upload through Garmin Express.
  • Fixed issue where cadence is not recorded correctly in activities.

New Software versions listed are in red.

    1. New instinct Solar are currently programmed with software version 16.10 and GPS 5.40 during production. Why does the 16.43 beta still have GPS 5.30 ?

    Message :

    Firmware 16.00 / 16.10 / 16.41 Beta :

    CPE expires after 24 at the latest. Usually already after 10 to 12 hours.

    On fenix watches ( 3HR, 5x, 6x, 6s Pro and tactix delta the CPE/EPO is valid for several days.


    Why does the CPE of the Instinct expire after such an extremely short time ?

    Note:
    all attempts on my part to eliminate the error have already been made.
    1) reset long press light button
    2) master reset and secondary master reset
    3) delete cpe.bin
    4) delete remotesw folder

    No improvement. tried it with TWO instinct solar.

    Of course, the CPE runs down on a regular basis. But that is definitely too fast. It should last 3 - 14 Days

    Can you please fix this ?

    GPS stays at 5.40 even after update and putting gps 4.30 file in folder, also where did you check CPE status ? :>

    On the watch : long press menu button. Then scroll down to settings - there scroll down to „info“. Then scroll down to CPE :

    Does this fix bugs that are not listed or are they the only changes?

    Edit: appears not

    Changing power mode during any activity and then pressing the back button removes the power mode choice just made

    Notifications are still backwards, oldest messages display in notification and not newer chat messages like every other smart watch appears to do - very "smart" for a "smart"watch.....

    CPE is still invalid after less than 12 hours. This is definitely not ok. it should last 3-14 Days :

    The CPE is also only about 26 KB, while the CPE of the fenix 6x is about 56 KB..

    Garmln should investigate this.

    I have reported it to the Beta Team. But they usually do not give any feedback.

    I can't perform the update. My watch missing memory for the 2 files... Am I the only one with this pre update issue ?
