Movement sensor failed on solar instinct watch

The movement sensor has failed, no running cadence, swimming or rowing stroke rate. Is this a software update gone wrong or do O ask for a new watch?

Have you tried restarting it by holding the power button, and if not you could try a master reset.

OK, so I did a full reset. The barometer sensor also ceased function. I reset the watch, alongside this cleaned the barometer area as per Garmin's instructions. Left it to dry and recalibrated the barometer. I am not sure if it was the reset, but the stroke rates returned. As did the stairs on my daily activities. Sadly in the last week both have again ceased functioning.

I have shared two rowing activities with the product support team, one last Monday with the rate working and another from today without it.
