i received my new instinct solar on Friday gave it a full charge and it’s died within 2 days. It’s winter so there’s no solar boosting so it’s been working off the battery that I understood was up to 14 days without GPS or ultra track.
The things I’ve done (taking advice from the pages about reducing battery life):
Friday 26th 5pm - full charge 21d - no standard settings changed
Saturday - 3pm 14d left - adjusted to:
- 10% backlight
- 4s backlight timer
- No notifications
- Removed HR from home screen
8pm - 7d left - reset and liked to Garmin connect
Sunday 7am - 1d left
Total 38hours total battery life.
i think I’ve checked if GPS or ultra track is on, everywhere I’ve read says these are only on if an activity is “on” so I don’t believe they are.
any other thoughts? Or just send it back?
