Why does my Instinct Solar alert me when I place a call?

Inquiring minds would like to know. I found an article in the F6 forum from two years back but didn't see any resolution.

Just as an FYI, COROS watches allow the user to enable/disable notifications independently without having to change the phone's notification settings. And, you can enable/disable each of the major apps independently. IE, I can enable Phone, text, Twitter, but disable Facebook, WhatsApp, etc etc right in the COROS app.

Is it possible for Garmin Connect do the same? I can't seem to find anything that detailed.

  • Yes, it's possible at least for Android. On your phone in Garmin Connect app go to Settings > Notifications > App Notifications. Turn OFF "All Applications" slider and enable notifications only for apps you want. I have it only for phone, text, and emails while everything else is disabled.

  • Nope, doesn't exist in iOS. Under mine it says Push Notifications and Email Notifications, and there is nothing related to outside of the Garmin Connect app or Garmin related communications itself.
