Tracking sleep

Why doesn't my Instinct Solar show the periods during the night when I'm awake? Last night I had at least 30 minutes awake, but Garmin Connect said I hadn't been awake at all. How does my Instinct Solar track sleep and awakeness?

It is all based on how well your OHR sensor reads you. This Support Center article has useful information along with additional support center articles that may help. Also, you can try wearing your watch on your other wrist and/or wearing it tighter or more lose.
