Pulse Oximeter readings during a hike?

How can I get the watch to take oxygen readings during a hike?

I already do this during sleep, but wish to see how my oxygen levels are affected by my hiking activity.  I can't find such an option on the watch.

Not possible on Instinct. All-day pulse ox is only available on more expensive watches like enduro and fenix.

  • The level of oxygen in the blood in the Instinct solar is measured at rest. So in addition to sleep, it can be measured at any time when you are at rest. During the ascent, measure yourself manually, for example with the help of a vidget, and you can see right away how you are doing.
  • Thanks.  I was looking for an automatic way of doing this during a hike, similar to it happens automatically whilst I sleep.

  • When you sleep, you are motionless. This is necessary for measurements.

  • True.  As a previous poster he said, the higher-end models does have an all-day oxygen reading, but also, it only measures it whilst there is no movement. It waits until one is still for a short time and then takes the measurement automatically. Thus, not possible for during a hike as I don't take many breaks during a hike.  I'll do this manually during my few breaks.
