If you go to Settings > About and see software version 16.00, scroll down many times until you see GPS v5.30 on your Instinct Solar.

Is GPS 5.3 for all versions of Instinct Solar or only some of them? My watch also show GPS 4.8 in settings/about after the firmware update to 16.00.

Updated to 16:00. Did Hard Reset. GPS version still 4.80. With Garmin there is no update without problems.

Hmmm... Thank you everyone for your comment. Researching further on this end, it looks like GPS 5.30 was part of the Beta but was then removed when v16.00 software was officially released. I found that the official GPS version has remained at v4.80 for now.

Mine has the 5.30, I had downloaded the beta firmware set.
