Manual CPE update

I don't use Garmin Connect and I would like to update the EPO.BIN file on a Garmin Instinct Solar.

I found information [in this forum](https://forums.garmin.com/outdoor-recreation/outdoor-recreation/f/fenix-5-series/207977/epo-expired?pifragment-464=2#pifragment-464=1) and elsewhere on the internet about how to do.

I got an EPO file for today but I don't know where to write it.

From what I read, some devices expect it in /GARMIN/REMOTESW/, others in /GARMIN/GPS/.

I've tried both. Copied the file in both directories. Even switched off/on the watch (shouldn't be necessary AFAIK).

Settings -> System Info -> CPE still reads missing and the GPS chip till takes minutes to sync.

Anything specific I'm missing?

Thanks.

    Here it is:

    ------------

CPE is for one type of gps chipset
EPO is for the other type of gps chipset

GPS folder is mostly used on Edge devices

REMOTESW folder is mostly used on recent watches

search the forum for Linux users, they can help for sure

    ------------

Basically, this watch doesn't need an EPO file but a CPE file.

I couldn't find any info yet about how to manually update a CPE file.
