Manual CPE update

The EPO can still be updated without needing to go through what you are trying to do manually. If you don't use Garmin Connect, directly plug your watch into your computer and sync using Garmin Express.

I haven't done this with the CPE file but you can try dropping the updated file into the \GARMIN\NEWFILES folder. This is the location used for importing workouts, courses, etc. into the device.

Thanks. It is indeed the directory in which I put courses.

I tried to put the EPO file in there but unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be picked up.

Oh. I wondered about the difference between CPA and EPO and since I read about EPO everywhere, I figured both names referred to the same data and perhaps same file.

Thanks. I've been searching on the Internet and didn't find anything about CPE.BIN files.

I should edit this thread title to replace EPO with CPE but I don't think I can.

I'll try to post back here if I find anything relevant, which I doubt.
