To start, I know what I’m doing and how to use the watch, so this isn’t “user error”. Kansas is roughly 1 degree difference, so Garmin will have to verify this in another part of the Country where there is a bigger difference.
I’m at a 10 degree difference from True North vs. Magnetic North. On 15.40, the setting is reversed (Compass/North Reference/True or MN):
