Can't get the correct tide times
I am stood on the beach. Set the tides location to my current location but all the tide times are still out.
Any ideas how to fix this or is it just terrible programming?

It doesn't work for me or the one other Garmin Instinct Surf owner I know so not sure where you are getting the 99% of watches work fine assertion.
Thank you for your response. I am constantly connected to my smart phone but tide data is always out no matter what I try.
Couldn't find the tidal info on world weather online but have sent them an email…
"Garmin chris" told me on this thread that garmin use NOAA for the states and world weather online for the rest of the world... I am in Cornwall, England.
Couldn't find any tide data on world…
No idea where they take that 99%, mine is 3hs wrong, is the most expensive watch I ever had and doesn’t do the most important thing.. And what is that of telling to the costumers to try to fix it? Is a joke? Why not better make an update with 500 surf spots, that you could chose from the watch like the Rip Curl watches, and will have your tides on the watch ready for the next 10 or 20 years.
Same here. Most expensive watch I've had. Tide data is out. I have a 10 year old Casio surf watch that cost around £20 that has tide data pre-programmed into it and it works.
Garmin support told me to check the NOAA site, even though I told them I was in England not the US. They asked me for a diagnostic report from the Connect app, which I did. I heard nothing more from them. A few days later I got an automated email asking how my experience was with Garmin Support.
Mine is 3hs wrong, I’m in Indonesia surfing sharp reef breaks.. is the most expensive watch I ever had and doesn’t do the most important thing… for what a saw on the forums looks like no one is gonna fix it, Why not better make an update with 500 surf spots, that you could chose from the watch, even without internet like the Rip Curl watches, and will have your tides on the watch ready for the next 10 or 20 years, perfect accurate! Please grab a rip curl watch and see what I’m talking about… also the 3 days of tides is almost nothing, if you go to middle of no where, after 3 days your watch is worthless, it should be at least for an year, the information is accourate like the moon fades, every year you can get a free book with the tides by hour for the hole year, is just garmin that didn’t make it right. Probably just need a few mb of internal storage for keep all you coustomers happy!
Same here. After I sent a mail to my local Garmin support, no answer concerning our issue. Few days later I got an automated mail asking me how was my experience with Garmin Support. I replied to this mail, and I explained my "experience"..... Few days later, I got a new mail from support which told me to contact support directly by phone. What I did, I explained that it seems to have a world issue as explained on this forum. They have opened an "issue ticket" and they will answer me at the beginning of March... Wait and see...
As I said in my previous message, I called by phone my local support. They told me that I will have news at the beginning of March. We are at the end of March and no news concerning our issues... I sent another mail last week, no answer... My tide data are still completely wrong, it's incredible... Why the customer is not considered ?
I see that there is now a new Garmin Instinct Solar Surf 2 (.....500€....), is there the same issue ?
The short of it is this: The problem has persisted since the Instinct Surf was released. Garmin basically blames it on the supplier of the data, which is ridiculous of course, because the user couldn't care less where the data comes from, as long as it's accurate. A very typical Garmin attitude, in my experience. Some people have had success by contacting the data supplier and pointing out the wrong tides for selected beaches. In some cases, this was then rectified. And, yes, it is a bad joke that the 'highly esteemed' YT-reviewers never mention anything like this.
With the technology on this days and the profesional people the must have working on their facilities shouldn’t be hard to fix this issue. They just don’t care. And at least it shoul show tides for a week not only 3 days.. they can also show you wave size if they connect with SURLINE or MAGICSEAWEED like Rip Curl does.
I am surfer, I bought this watch because of the tide information... Very dissapointed because not only my problem, but everybody's problem is the same. TIDE INFORMATION NOT WORKING in my beach called Zurriola (San Sebastian). I am very dissapointed, a question for garmin: What I have to do for fix the problem?
