Instinct Solar is Randomly Freezing on Software v13.20

A new Instinct Beta software Update was just released today that will resolve the random freezing issue. For those that prefer to install the Beta and test the Beta vs. waiting for the official release, here is the v14.00 Beta:

Is your Instinct Solar randomly freezing? IE: Your time gets stuck for long periods of time and you notice it was wrong. When frozen, you then either must press any button or sometimes hold down your top left CTRL button to soft reset your watch.

If you are experiencing any type of frozen type behavior, please post to this thread so we can accurately track this issue. We are actively collecting examples to provide our engineers actively looking into the issue. Thank you!

    Have had a instinct solar approximately 4 weeks, have experienced 7 freezes during that time, last one this morning, woke up and checked time displayed 2:41am time was actually around 7am.

    When this occurs no heart rate will be uploaded to garmin Connect.

    My reasons for buying this watch ($699.00 in Aus) as a firefighter was to track my heart rate and because of the military spec 810 rating. Had a intense job last week only to find the watch had frozen and nothing had been recorded. 

    Your comments regarding your sorry to the person who returned their watch stating that its the software not the individual watch honestly doesn't make much sense.  Without the software/OS functioning properly the watch is unreliable. The software/hardware are dependent on each other for a reliable device. 

    This now appears to be an on going problem for months (looking at these forums) is there a estimated time frame for resolution?

    I doubt there could be an estimated time frame, since they still do not even know where it comes from.

    Mine briefly frooze then restarted itself during a Cardio activity. Interestingly, it was still in the same activity after restart.

    It started with the name of the next exercise not being shown, some faces/fields empty. Then I tried to browse the menu to 'view' the next steps and it restarted.

    Try the beta firmware. Had it freeze everyday before updating and haven't had a single issue since then.

    I bought instinct solar today and it froze with the home screen details, however i tried restarting it but now it froze at the welcome screen with no button working or with any other details.

    Please suggest

    Hi Chris,

    Thanks for your prompt reply, i have reset the watch and its working as of now, i hope it helps and watch doesnt freezes anymore as i will be travelling for 5 months starting this Saturday and will be really difficult to return it to seller after that.

    Hey, I have Solar Tactical.

    After charged to 100% battery, and plugged off from PC, the watch was frozen with the 100% charging picture.

    Then, I turned it off by pressing and holding CTRL.

    After turning on again, the watch is stuck on the "Garmin" picture phase and responding to buttons pressing with sound and vibration, but still with the "Garmin" picture.

    Any way, when plugged again to PC, the PC doesn't recognize any device pairing.

    Btw, I bought the watch one week ago.

    What should I do?

    Instinct Solar froze yesterday and again tonight, was showing incorrect time, seconds not increasing. Light would work but no other buttons. 

    Had to hold CTRL/light button in for 10 plus seconds to power off and then powered back on at which point it updated to correct time.

    Chris i appreciate your time and prompt responses, could you possibly give us an update on what is being done, any progress made?
