Swimming activity stopped tracking at 1375 yard out of my 1600 yard swim. What went wrong?

I started out with 1600 yard goal equipped with the monitor chest strap. I would periodically check my progress. on my last flip turn it showed 1600 yards. I reached the end to hit stop and save my time but it just showed the logo like it reset on its own. I checked my activity and shows it auto saved at 1375 yards. does this have a time out feature or a battery conserve mode that cancelled out my tracking? quite frustrating

This indicates that your watch crashed for some reason, and that would explain the incorrect data. If this was a one off incident, then just ignore it. Things like this happen sometimes in modern electronic devices. But if the issue repeats, then either try a hard reset, or contact garmin support.
