Instinct Solar - 12.84 Public Beta

Hello Instinct Solar users,

We have new beta software ready for your upcoming adventures!

Please read the 'notes' and 'installation instructions' in the 'Updates and Downloads' page found in the link below. We look forward to your feedback!

Note: Please allow for the updates to propagate across all servers. There is no need to post that the link does not work. It will after a bit of patience.

12.84 Change Log Notes:

Improved Bluetooth stability and reliability.
Fixed crash when using Pulse Ox widget while battery saver is enabled.
Fixed issue where percentage of time in heart rate zone would not add up correctly.
Fixed issue with Explore Navigation Sync where the app would not display navigation stats when navigating to a waypoint.

In your email please include the software version, and a detailed description of your issue, along with any steps to reproduce. Please note that you may not get a response to the email unless we need more information on the issue you report.

I doubt a bit that the developers follow this thread, but since they write "For any issues that you encounter, please send an email to [email protected]", I would rather try that, if you encounter any issues with the beta version. However, before contacting them, make sure you installed the beta software, and can still reproduce the problems you are referring to.

Another software version and yet, no surf activity corrections. Garmin, a lot of people complained at this forum already so, I guess we would all be available to help you if you need. Not cool to sell and advertise a surf watch that doesn't have the proper software to make it work

I've used dumb tide watches for the last 20 years. They all worked fine or did after easy calibration. Never considered Garmin could screw up a technology that has been around for so long. So I bit on the Surf Watch marketing. Quick review: Surf activity C grade. Tide activity: Fail. This is my first smart watch and I do enjoy all the other clever features. But I am very disappointed and feel ripped off. I've gone back and forth with very nice customer service guy Chris. I've tried everything suggested to no avail. Come on Garmin you're better than this! Fix it or give me my money back.

On the Solar Tactical, the compass display is off by 90°.
The compass works fine, it's just a display error. In 20.20 the widget shows proper directions.

Good because as of recently, my solar instinct is constantly disconnecting and reconnecting...even though the watch and phone are 12 inches from each other

Yes, I did try a calibration. Doesn't change anything.

As I said, it's a display error. The compass works fine, it's just not labeled properly.
