Garmin Instinct Solar switched into some kind of 'back' menu and I can't get out of it... Help!

I switched to pool settings today for an outdoor lido swim. When I looked down at the watch it seems to have gone into some kind of back menu and I can't find anyway out of it. I can move around the menus but it's not the normal display or user menu, more like factory coding or similar. All online reboot suggestions involve rebooting from the setting menu on the standard display which this isn't. Can anyone help me switch it 'on and off' again, and more importantly tell me what did I do to access this 'back' menu. Thanks in advance...

Normally, you can turn off the watch by holding the Light button for longer than 15s.

That looks like the Test Mode (when starting the watch while holding the ABC button). As I wrote, stop the watch by holding the Light button for more than 15s, and then start again.

Sorry to be ignorant but would the test mode used for? Why does the watch need the information set out in a menu like this instead of the regular ones to identify fault?. Who would use it? Me, or someone looking to repair it or find a fault should one occur? The data presented through the test menu screens was not easy to interpret to my eyes just lots of data. Some screens were patterns, to check pixels I guess? Again thanks for your help.
