Instinct surf solar

Hello,

I just bought a brand new pipeline edition of this watch. The tide function, doesnt function at all... It shows me a "error tide information resquest failed".

I'm very concerned about the surf functionality as well, i was customizing my watch face for that particular activity and there was no mention about wave counting, meters traveled, (basically what they advertise.

Really thinking about a refund on this one...

If somebody can help me i'll be so gratefull.

and what about wave count etc? I bought an istinct solar surf because... i surf. So, it’s a problem if the surf app doesn’t work! It reports a number of waves that makes no sense at all. And the speed too is not correct: average wave speed registered is 2,5 km/h... again doesn’t make any sense.

Can i fix the problem or i just have to change watch?

Roughness and solar features aren't the most important thing for me so I think I'll go for a Fenix 6pro if Garmin is not fixing the issue(s)....

HAHAHHAHA, the same here. two months ago barely recognise me in traditional surfing practice, later the change something and I become a professional :). Waves were counted with no sense, in number, speed, etc... In SUP waves (I use the same ACT. surf) no waves are ever detected so I just don't know why, can assume I do not make the take-off maybe, and algorithm don't detect this... (in SUP you are straight on board paddling while caching waves) and it does not recognise that I start a wave, but the change in speed would indicate it clearly.

Whatever, I have a post in this forum, read it, but currently for surfing Garmin do TRASH in this device, sorry for the expression, I bought it since I wanna maintain my previous data from Vivoactive HR, which works perfectly and bought a 450 € device without any doubt Garmin never fails, my mistake, Garmin fails a lot...

I ask amazon to change it. Worthless...

Sure, there you can install app like surf tracker v2. It works...

100% but that’s not the only issue. Tide data is constantly disappearing and wants you to reconnect to the app which often will not work either. Also, why isn’t tide one of the display screen options during a surf session???

Tide display issue definitely has not been “resolved”
