[Surf] Fixed potential issue where watch face tide chart would be blank

^Truly hope this puts and end to the numerous times of showing up at the beach with the tide data blanking out and the phone still in the car...

  • Yay! PulseOX works. And the progress bar on the widget looks good. I'll test overnight PulseOX and report back. So far so good.

    Many thanks

  • Pulse Ox works. Altimeter does not!

I live at 600m altitude. I installed the update 2 days ago.

When I got home from work it showed 447m, pretty far off. I rinsed the watch and went outside to 'calibrate' - 603m perfect.

Woke up this morning at 387 m, it just keep getting worse.

What did the calibration do? Only seems to last a couple of hours...

  • What did the calibration do? Only seems to last a couple of hours..

That's due to the atmospheric pressure change. If you do not change the location, and do not climb floors, you can change the ABC setting to the "barometer" mode. It will then fix the elevation, and consider any changes for atmospheric changes of the pressure. Set the mode back to "auto" or "altimeter" when going out. Or just calibrate the watch every time you know you'll need the altimeter (or the barometer). That's what pilots do all the time too.

  • Research about barometric altimeters. That's how they work. You meant to calibrate it at the beginning of your hike so get an idea of your altitude as you climb. But because the atmospheric pressure is not stable through the day it will affect your reading. Live with it.

  • Thanks for clearing that up for me.

  • Instict Solar v11.76 update worked but version still shows 10.00 in systems menu

Hello there, I downloaded and updated watch with 11.76 beta, it got updated successfully. however not showing this version number in systems menu. Is this normal or watch is not updated? My watch is bought in China, its' Asian version.  How has anyone came across this issue?

  • Firmware for the standard mode will not work on an APAC model that you own. There are no beta releases for the APAC versions, as far as I know. You have to wait for the official release of the public APAC version, which typically arrives a few weeks after the regular (non-APAC) version.

  • I noticed that my Sensor Hub downgraded to 4.0 using the various update files from this package. I had to connect to Garmin Explorer to update back to 5.0. Did this happen to anyone else?
