What are the best battery setting for everyday use? I have no need for gps on daily use. I just used it for heart rate, and notifications from phone for most part.

I agree debating on taking it back was just wanting to see if i needed to change settings first....it went from 28 days to 9 days just last night while i slept and it was on battery saver
What firmware are you running? That doesn't sound right, li ion batteries are very resilient and it should last 1 to 4 weeks+ depending on settings. Have you tried turning the watch off through the menu…

Have you tried turning the watch off through the menu, waiting a minute, then powering on again? I have found this clears some glitches that otherwise persist and cause strange issues. I use heart rate, smart notifications and do 4-5 activities a week and it lasts approx 9 days
Have you plugged it in to a computer through the Garmin app and updated the firmware as well as Bluetooth and gps chipset versions?
As a further point of reference, i've just recharged mine from 15% to 90% and with Bluetooth off but all other functions running (PulseOx enabled, etc) i'm showing 12d battery forecast. Will review and revert tomorrow but no reason not to think that it won't say 11d (or even 12d still!).
I have just updated to latest firmware (today) though so we'll see.
I've turned off phone bluetooth and in the 19 hours since I last replied i'm not on 89% and 12d battery forecast... Little bit of Solar charge gained this morning but otherwise, everything being utilised (PulseOx enabled, HRM on, etc).
See if that makes a difference?
