1. create a tornado warning within the storm alert settings. A sudden drop in pressure in a short time.
2. simple tide chart.
Thanks, Love the watch.

Why is it when someone doesn't get their way it's a sign of disrespect? Think about what you're saying. You could have bought any watch you…
A sudden drop in pressure in a short time
That's what the storm alert does. You can adjust the parameters (ABC » Barometer » GPS button » Storm Alert » Rate).
…I'm looking for a drop within minutes. And maybe it's there and I just don't know how to adjust for it. If you do, please share.
There is nothing else than already mentioned previously…

You need Instinct Solar Surf edition for the Tide widget. It won't be available for the standard Solar version.
I agree the watch has the storm alert, and it works great. The parameters in the watch are all based on a three hour trend. I'm looking for a drop within minutes. And maybe it's there and I just don't know how to adjust for it. If you do, please share.
Thanks
This is a very bad news.
I had a FR935 which is not a surf watch at all but, with Connect IQ I had a tide widget which downloaded data about closest beach places.
Garmin's choice to split Instinct solar in "standard" and "surf" version for 50$+ is a mistake and a proof that they do not respect their customers. The price difference is only motivated by money and not because of technical differencies between the watches.

It is their choice. And it is the beauty of the free market, that you have your choice too. Nobody can force you to buy the Instinct Solar. It was stated clearly since the beginning in the specifiations, that only the Surf version had the Tides widgets, (and some additional functionlity). In the same way as in the first Instinct non-Solar generation, only Instinct Tide had a tide widget. If you do not agree with the pricing, do not buy the product, buy a different model or a different brand instead.
Indeed, nobody forced me to buy a solar "basic" version. I bought it because I wanted to, knowing the differences between basic and surf edition.
Anyway, it is not because nobody forced me that I can't say what I think about their choices and the way they split their products. The fact is, for an (already) existing feature, they found the way to provide it on a model and not no another, in the same range. This, is a sad choice.

Why is it when someone doesn't get their way it's a sign of disrespect? Think about what you're saying. You could have bought any watch you wanted. You chose the Instinct Solar and because it doesn't have a feature you want you've been disrespected by Garmin. Ridiculous!
Why did you hijack my thread with your hate? I'm asking for real simple solutions to a already great watch. A setting for sudden drops in air pressure indicating possible tornado activity within could be a life saving feature used by all.

There is nothing else than already mentioned previously. Consider suggesting it directly to Garmin, since it in not too probable they would notice it here on the user forum.
