Tracks On Mapshare but not on Map Page in Explore Website

Tracks made using an older InReach (InReach for Smartphones) do not show up on my map page on the Garmin Explore website.  Tracks made with my upgraded device (InReach Explorer+) do show up.  I also have a few duplicate track entries in my library.  Is there any way to get track data (breadcrumb paths) from my older InReach to be added to my map page on the Explore website?  The tracks DO show on my mapshare page when I select "Show All Tracks", but not on my personal map on the Garmin Explore website.

  • I'm not sure I understand the question. "Sent" point (the ones transmitted in real time via satellite) should show up on both the Map tab for the account and the MapShare page. "Logged' points (the ones not sent by satellite) do not appear until you sync they device. The sync mechanism varies depending on the specific device.

Be certain that the filters allow for the tracks in question. To be sure, click Clear Filters in the left sidebar.

Be sure that the user in question is visible on the map. In the left sidebar, look for the header row for the user name. Be sure the eyeball icon is not "slashed".

Finally, make sure that tracks are visible. Look for the "head pointer" (the big, blue triangle) on one of the tracks. Next to it, you will see a small circle. If ONLY the head pointer is visible, the circle with have a plus sign. Click it and the track should appear. (If the circle has a minus sign the track is already visible.)

If you have lots of tracks, the easiest way to see the head pointer is to open the Tracks section in the left sidebar, select a single track, and look for the head pointer. The +/- thing applies to ALL the tracks, not just the one you  have selected.

If all of that pans out, open a support ticket.

  • Thank you very much for the advice.  As it turns out I had to start a support ticket.  We'll see what they find.  Thanks again for your time and effort to help!
