Tracks are all combined from separate hikes / separate days

How do I keep the tracks I import from my Explorer+ to the explore.garmin website separated?  For example, I went on a walk two days ago, synced that track with the website, and then cleared the track from my Explorer+.  I then named the track on the explore.garmin website.  I went on another walk today and synced that track to the website.  The two tracks now seem to be combined as one track with the tracking line from today's walk essentially added to the tracking line from two days ago.  I expected to see a new unnamed track on the explore.garmin website, but rather, the two are combined as a single track there.  Is there any way to keep tracks separated?  I am not sending track data via the iridium satellite; I have the send interval turned off and the log interval set at 1 minute.

  • I no longer have an active legacy device with which to test this. My recollection is that you need to clear the track log each time you restart logging. This wipes out the previous points and starts anew.

My recollection is that this is buried, maybe as part of the "start tracking" sequence? I was unable to find any documentation on it, either in the manual or in the KB articles.

Of course, I could be hallucinating the whole thing.
