inReach Explorer+ Sync Error

Has anyone recently (or previously) encounters an error when trying to sync their inReach Explorer+? The error I am getting is: "Error getting presets. Object reference not set to an instance of an object?"

This particular error seems to be common. The conventional wisdom is to dump the browser cache and try again. Or use a browser that you don't normally use with sync. If that still does not work, uninstall and reinstall sync (and dump the cache again). Try again.

If you are still stuck, there is a debug log here (on Windows):

"C:\ProgramData\Garmin\inReachSync\sync-log.txt"

It's not intended for consumption by normal humans, but you might find something useful in it. it's cumulative. Latest session is way down at the end. If you have to open a support ticket, support will probably want to see it.

Thank you for taking the time to respond and I will give your suggestion a try. I have installed/reinstalled sync on a Mac and cleared the cache and it still did it so I will try the same on a Windows machine and see what happens.

8170915 Hello, there was a known issue with this error in June but the problem has since been resolved. Please let me know if you are still running in to the error.
