Activated subscription, did updates for new trip, error message trying to install sync for inReach Explorer. Windows 10

Failed to install inReach Sync, 0x8007051b This security ID may not be assigned as the owner of this object. Previous computer stolen, sync never installed on this laptop. Leaving on trip in a few days.

Sync ran, updates posted BUT sync will not install.

Now I'm confused. If the desktop sync program will not install, what do you mean by "sync ran"?

The conventional wisdom here is to remove the sync program from the Control Panel (if it appears there as having been installed). Either way, clear the browser cache. Try again to install sync. If this does not work. I'm out of ideas. Open a support ticket.
