Pairing Garmin inReach Explorer + to a Mercedes Sprinter van

Can I bluetooth pair a Garmin inReach Explorer + to a Mercedes Sprinter van and then use the Sprinter's display to view the maps and navigation while I'm driving? Is there any other way to make this work than via a bluetooth connection?

AFAIK, this is not directly possible. When paired via BT, legacy devices like the Explorer+ only talk to the Garmin Earthmate app. I don't believe the app offers any maps not on the device.

If you use an iPhone, and if the vehicle has CarPlay support, CarPlay navigation apps MIGHT be able to use the GPS data from the Explorer+. The Explorer+ is exposed as a normal GPS device in iOS. I have never tried this. Even if it works, the BEST this could do would be to show the Explorer+ position on the maps built into the navigation app. Which I do not think is what you want.

Also, the vehicle GPS is likely to be more accurate than the Explorer+.
