Trying to transfer InReach Explorer+ waypoints to PC

Hi, I cannot figure out how to do this. I tried exporting via the Map tab on the website, but the waypoints are not visible (there are over 120). I made sure to turn off all filters, and tried refreshing after using the inReach Sync program. I don't need tracks, I just need the waypoints.

Any help is appreciated

  • Used to be that what got exported was limited to what was visible and passed the filters. Now it says visibility (other than user) plays no role.

I WAS able to export waypoints. I was NOT able to avoid also including a partial track. The web site is a work in progress, sooo...

To do that, I HID everything in the library except Waypoints. Then I set the filters to "all time" and turned off ALL the message types (since waypoints are not a message type). I also made sure that all my waypoints were visible on the screen (pure urban legend, of course). Then I exported to .gpx. Worked fine except for the partial (most recent) track.

I did try it again with the waypoints off-screen. They were still exported.

NOTE: If the waypoints are not ON the map tab at all, won't be able to export them. Sync is the right idea. To be sure you are seeing the most recent data (because the site is a work in progress), you should probably log out, close the window for explore.garmin.com, clear the browser cookies and cached data, and try again. Or try a different browser (not because some other browser will work better, but because it has no cookies or cached data).

  • Hi - any updates on this?  I would like to be able to have the options of exporting waypoints, tracks only, or waypoints-plus-tracks  from the map page for dates I specify in the filter.  It would also be good to be able to export just the items you have visible on the map.

  • Some of this can be done now. I don't think exporting waypoints by date range will ever be supported. But you can submit suggestions here:
