Hi All -- long shot here, but I thought I'd ask anyway. I hadn't used my device for about an year, so when I plugged it in for charging it asked for an update, which I did after downloading the sync software on a mac. As nothing was happening when updating the firmware,
I unplugged the device and tried again - this time I get the "Plug In to Update" screen, which I'm now stuck in. I've tried the recommended button combinations (close + down + power off / etc.) but none seem to do anything. If I start the InReach Sync software it says "restarting the device" - which does not happen - and then it says "Software is up to date" but the device screen remains in the same "Plug in to update".
To me, it looks like I'm stuck with a bootloader issue but I have no idea where to go from here. I've contacted Garmin support but haven't heard from them. Any ideas on what to try would be really appreciated, it's very frustrating to be stuck with a bricked device.
