What you have available is what you see on the Map tab at explore.garmin.com. Offhand, I do not recall if aerial imagery is included. I no longer have an active legacy device, so I cannot check. But it's easy for you to do so.
Yes, the Explorer series is what is now considered "basic" as far as maps. But that works well for me (and other users I'm sure) because that's all I need when I use it in the field. Garmin has newer devices that have more map options for those who want them.
