I own a Garmin Forerunner 945 and recently purchased an inReach Explorer+. I used the InReach for the first time a couple days ago on a hike. I wanted to compare the devices for stats. I went on a trail with a known distance of 8 miles. The Forerunner clocked me in at 7.89, but the InReach had me in at just under 10 miles. This is very disappointing as I had assumed the InReach would be the most accurate device. Is there something I need to do to the device, some sort of calibration or something, to increase its accuracy? I'm still learning how to operate it .
