I'm new to the inReach device and after initial activation last month, everything seemed to work fine. One month later, out hiking and I'm getting this message at power on (see attachment). Please advise, thanks

    Just perform a 'Test' to verify Iridium connection and subscription status before you go - Every Time! (just like the screen tells you to do)

  • Well, the device would not turn on without external power. Meaning, I get to the above screen and no commends accepted when disconnected from house power, I upgraded to the 4.2.. firmware release and all is good. The 4.2 release notes state, among other changes, that the "Turn On" function has been removed, which I can verify that is the case.  So, the upgrade worked and the device is functioning per specs. Thanks
