Tite says it all. I have the explorer+, but when I try to sync my routes to my device, I get an error message in the sync app that says maps are only available for the explorer+. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

Are you sure you have an Explorer+ and not an SE+? The two models look similar but the SE+ is yellow and does not support mapping.
It is definitely explorer+. In the about section in my device, it says device name: inreach explorer+. There is a maps and a routes tab within my device and it is red. But in my inreach portal online, it says my device is an SE+, according to my IMEI.
I have sent you a PM to help you with this.
What was the resolution to this issue? I just got an inReach explorer+ and am having the same problem.
This is my second Inreach Explore + and I am having this same issue. Never had an issue with my other one.
I have the exact problem. I have and explorer+, yet @explore.garmin.com it shows that my device is an SE. On my about this device section it shows it is an Explorer+. I have no clue how to correct that.
This is going to require assistance from Garmin support. Call and open a ticket. The forums are not an official support channel. Perhaps Garmin-Andrew or someone else will see this. But perhaps not.
Hi Andrew, Could I get a PM too? I'm experiencing the same issue of the SE+ image after activating my Explorer+. Also, when trying to sync using Inreach Sync I receive the error 'Maps are only available for inReach Explorer+'.
Hi, just sent you a PM. I heard back from one other user that this was resolved for them.
