How to delete old weather locations

In the Weather list I have 7 expired locations: some are waypoints, some are generic "Location x", one was by lat-lon. ("My Location" is current location so that one would be permanent) Since I'll never reuse any of these they are just cluttering up the screen. There is no obvious option to delete; I've tried various combinations of the check and lines keys in various places, no delete function. Has anyone found how to do this?
thanks, Bob
  • I don't currently have an active SE/Explorer, so I can't check it. But this article appears to answer the question.
  • I've not seen that online manual before, but yes, it answers the question - thanks. These button presses, like some other functions, are not intuitive and are not described in the printed manual.

The inreach landing page, inreach.garmin.com, does not at first appear to even have a link to that manual, so for 5 months I didn't know it existed. One has to click on the badly-named "Site Help" in the upper-right corner for the manual. "Site Help" is for how to use websites. The link needs to be renamed "inReach[SUP]®[/SUP] Web Help", which is the actual title.

And even on the support.garmin.com page, the link is the PDF version of the printed manual, with no link to the Web Help version. Even several phone calls and emails I've placed to the Help Desk have not resulted in anyone mentioning the online-only manual. It would help greatly if a manager at Garmin support would pay closer attention to customer service.
  • Generally speaking, the hamburger menu button can be your friend. If there are other options available for the page you are on, that's where they'll be hiding. Never hurts to press the menu button to see what's available.

As a rule, you may find it better to start at support.garmin.com. Type or select your device model. If necessary, click the > button to the right of the selection list. On the resulting page, look for Manuals in the left sidebar. You can also click one of the topic "category" buttons to see support articles on the subject. OR you can click the "Other" topic button and enter a search term. That's actually where I found the article which pointed me to the manual page to answer your question.
