Is there a way to display the outside/ ambient temperature on the Explorer +? I can't seem to find a way and it does not appear the Tempe is compatible.
The only temperature display on the inReach Explorer + as far as I know is the forecast temperature that goes with the Weather map. Since I need temperatures often when out, I carry a Kestral 5500 and a real thermometer. With the Kestrel 5500 you can transfer the data via bluetooth to a storage device like a smartphone. A friend carries a battery-powered small indoor/outdoor thermometer. He keeps the display inside the tent with the wire to the sensor hanging outside the tent.
Thanks. I carry a very simple thermometer/ whistle/ compass currently. Does the job I need, I suppose, but was hoping to get the temp displayed on the Explorer.
