strange display while sync

suddenly I am getting some strange display when attempting to sync with inReachSync (cable)

also the sync is not really going on, it end with some unknown error msg

Been a while since I looked at the Mini. IIRC, you would normally see the USB icon (the "fork" on the left above) during a sync. (The device is "mounted" as a removable USB drive or, on some devices, as an MTP device.) Don't recall seeing this combination. Typically, the gear icon indicates a f/w update. HOWEVER, the Mini obtains f/w updates via Garmin Express, not via the sync program.

You might try connecting the device to Garmin Express to see if you get a f/w update.

After that, if the data sync still fails, open a support ticket.

BTW, the conventional wisdom on weird errors in wired sync is to uninstall and reinstall the sync program, clear the browser cache, and try again.
