Error synching InReach Mini

When synching the InReach Mini to update my contacts and messages, The synchronisation application issues the following error message:

Error inserting tracks An error occurred while updating the entries. See the inner exception for details.

Where is this inner exception containing details ?

Does the synching process also transfers track points that I have on the MapShare ?

  • The desktop sync program leaves a log file. I can no longer remember where it is and have never used desktop sync on this PC. Open a support ticket. They will want to see it and can tell you where to look.

    The conventional wisdom for desktop sync issues is to uninstall sync, clear the browser cache, reinstall, and try again..

    Theoretically, the sync is bi-directional. However, I doubt that it will sync things (like those MapShare tracks) TO the device on which they originated. But I don't know for sure. These days, collections probably enter into it, too.

  • Thank you very much. I will look into it. After my post, I went to my mapshare map and deleted my tracks in the collections. I tried synching again and it did not issue errors. I suppose that Synching transfers this kind of data and that my tracks were to large. I searched and found that I can disable the synching of collection data. Thanks a lot for your help.
