6190464Hello! Yes, it is possible to do inreach to inreach messaging. Please see the following: Sending a Message to an inReach Device **See the portion at the end on inreach to inreach messaging**.
As Garmin-Leslie notes, it is possible. You should be aware that the message does not go directly to the other device. It goes to the Garmin servers like any other message. Then from the servers to the other device.
Hello, ok, but i have for 2 inReach only one @inReach.garmin.com adress!
Has every device a own inreach-adress?
If yes, who can i find the adress?
Thanks for help!
Is this a consumer account or a professional account? Consumer accounts can have only ONE device. That device has the address which corresponds to the account. For example, if you log into explore.garmin.com with the email address [email protected], the iR address of the only device on that account will be [email protected].
A professional account can have multiple devices and users. I don't have access to a professional account for testing. But my understanding is a particular device can be assigned to one user at a time. I would assume (but it's only an assumption) that the device then assumes the iR address corresponding to the user's login.
Bottom line: If this is a consumer account, you cannot have two devices on the same account. If it's a professional account, you can do so. If you are unable to perform the assignment, open a support ticket.
Yes, each device is assigned its own inReach address.
On the mini you can find the inreach address by going to Menu > Setup> About this device > Address. From your inreach account you can find it under the account tab under my info. It is listed as inReach Addr.
Hello,
even with a professional account with 2 devices?
Thanks!
I am sure the answer is yes, provided that the device is assigned to a user at the time.
Edited to add: If you have having trouble with this, open a support ticket.
Thank you!
if you have prof account with more devices, they must be assigned to a user, then open a user from tab goups and users
then go to contacts and on the right side you will see the [email protected] address
this is in general same as the front part of the email assigned to the user, but in some cases it can be some chars/numbers code assigned by garmin
Thank's to all!
Problem solved!
