Can have one device inform the other if SOS is pressed?

If I add the in-reach addresses to the list of emails notified if an SOS if pressed, will one of my devices be notified if another actives SOS?

  • I am not aware of any way to designate "emergency contacts" (email or otherwise) in the account profile. So I'm not sure what you mean by "the list of emails notified if an SOS is pressed".

Regardless, I do not believe that a message would be sent to a different iR device when SOS is pressed.

To find out for sure, you would need to open a support ticket.

  • This is under settings > SOS Set Up. Up to 20 email addresses can be entered to receive automatic notification if the SOS function is pressed. Unclear if entering in an inreach address would result in it receiving a message or not.

  • Had to refresh my memory. There ARE two emergency contacts on the Account tab at explore.garmin.com. Only two.

Is this an enterprise/professional account? I do not see this on a personal account on the web site.

In any case, the thing that looks like an email address ([email protected] is NOT an email. It's the inReach address, which is intended for use in direct IR to iR messages.

Open a support ticket to get a definitive answer.
