wait for gps

my inreach mini does not want to connect to satellite for gps signal . even tried a factory reset and after twent minuets of clear sky still wont connect. .very frustratingany sat as im going away in 7 days and need it for navigation and messaging...

If you have done a factory reset and allowed it to soak for 20 minutes with a clear sky view, you probably need to open a support ticket.

DO be sure that when you soak it, you set it down someplace stationary…

DO be sure that when you soak it, you set it down someplace stationary with a clear sky view. Then walk away. Do not hold it in your hand and do not move around. Your body blocks some portion of the sky. And it is difficult to download the almanac when moving.

You also do not say how you are testing to see if you HAVE a fix. You need to have the device do something, such a send an iR message, which actually REQUIRES a fix. Even with a good onboard almanac, it will take the device a few seconds to acquire a fix once you do something that requires one.
