NO USB connectivity

I first received my Garmin Inreach Mini about 2 weeks ago, and everything was perfect. I had no issues setting it up or connecting and syncing to computer. It has been turned off since then, and after turning it on today to get ready for my trip, the computer will not even recognize it. I've tried both my Mac and a PC. I am using the cable that came with the Garmin, and I also tried another one. It will no longer connect.... AT ALL.  Looking for help before I send this back and just get another product. 

  • You have already tried most of the conventional wisdom things - original cable, different cable, and different PCs.

    Have you tried syncing via the Earthmate app on a paired phone? Not suggesting that you should not pursue the wired connectivity issue, but it is an alternative sync path.

    The only other thing that comes to mind would be a factory reset of the device. This is a big hammer. It will lose all user data on the device. And it will force you to repeat the outdoor portion of activation. 

    Other than that, you'll probably have to open a support ticket.

  • I have this problem occasionally. I found that a reboot of my computer does the trick.
