Question about Fenix/GPSMAP 66S integration

Hello,

Long time garmin user and I just purchased the inreach mini to help me stay safe out there now that I'm hitting the water/hills without much cell service. My question is I have the mini paired with my fenix 6x and GPSMAP66s is there a way that when I start an activity it will auto start tracking or do I need to manually start tracking every time I go out? Tanks in advance.

I would not depend on this working unless somebody with more experience chimes in. The remote control widget on the watch has limited capabilities. It can start tracking on the Mini, but I've only ever done it manually.

I have all 3 same devices. It won't do it. but, you can program the mini to start tracking as soon as you turn it on.
