You must not fill this field . This is only if a friend or any other person has an Inreach too . Its is only used for Inreach to Inreach messaging
Must not is a little strong. If the contact DOES have an inReach, you should put the address in there if you know it. This is the thing that looks a bit like an email address but is not. [email protected].
Yes I agree with you , I said must not because he naver said that someone else has an Inreach .....so this field should be completed or not ?? It is olny for Inreach to Inreach messaging , if not for this , it is not usefull at all (to be not too strong) G.Luck

More help please, is there a way to edit preset messages and able to sync it by using your Mobile (iphone)? my thinking is, if I haven't got access to my PC/laptop.

Marcus : Preset messages(3 messages) are editable only in Garmin Explore website. After editing , you must sync with your Inreach thru USB and you will see them on your unit. However Preset messages(3 messages) are only visibles on the unit ,never in the phone. Also are predefined messages (10 messages) these can be modified in Explore website and synced to your unit and phone. These (10 messages) are fully visible in unit and phone. Thanks Martin, Yes I'm currently doing it through the PC, but thought there maybe a way from my mobile, thank you for the clarification, much appreciated.
Glad to help. But remember via phone , you can edit and sync only the 10 predefined messages. The three preseted messages can be only edited by explore site , and will be only visible by unit. These are thinked to use as "check-in" button or I am ok text for example.
