Does Waypoint Registration are limited in Safety Plan?

Hi all, I noticed that pressing "Record Waypoint" is then sent to the server via satellite.
However, I don't see any kind of counter scaling in this regard. Are they free?
I have the annual Safety plan.

I don't know the answer to this. And the plan description is not enlightening. I would expect these to be chargeable like a message or a track point. But unless somebody who actually knows chimes in here, you will have to call support to get a definitive answer.

Hi, there is no charge for waypoints that get uploaded to MapShare on any of the inReach Subscription plan. It's optional setting to have waypoints uploaded to MapShare and you can disable it by going to explore.garmin.com > Social > MapShare Settings > Uncheck the box for "Show waypoints created in the field on MapShare"

Okay, thank you, however if the user requests to locate me, isn't there a charge for that as well?

The plan description is clear on that point. There is a $0.10 charge for a locate request on the safety plan.

Yes yes, ok, but I thought it was different in the case of location requested by users on mapshare and not those activated by the device. Anyway clear. Thanks

You are being charged only once for the request. This includes sending the request to the device from MapShare and the response from the device.
