I'd like to use my inReach mini to log my track internally but not send the location. There are separate Log and Send intervals in settings for this, but the longest Send interval is 4 hours (there's no Off or Never option).
I asked Garmin support about this and they said the device is always tracking when it's on so just don't turn on tracking if I want to log without sending. As far as I can tell that's only true if Auto-track is set to On, and it would still send the location on the set Send interval whether I use auto-track or manually turn tracking on.
Not sure why this is so difficult, but does anyone know how to log tracks without sending?
