Battery drains when OFF

I know it was discussed in the forum, but I believe it was for older FW versions.

- Hardware Ver. 4.0

- Firmware Ver. 2.80 (388665)

- BT - ON

- ANT+ - ON

inReach Mini was switched OFF about 00:00 yesterday - battery 97%, today it was switched ON about 13:00 - battery 91%.

I understand BT and ANT+ interfaces should not work (and consume battery) when device switched OFF, but who knows.

Any thoughts what can cause so fast battery drains?

Contact tech support. There WAS some kind of f/w issue which caused unusually large drain while off. However, that was supposed to have been fixed in the f/w you have. Perhaps Garmin will replace the unit…

I am going to do a set of experiments like repeat with BT, ANT+ - ON, then OFF, will collect some stats and in case it is repeatable issue will contact support.
